Around The Crown 10k Tapas Tasting at Chef Alyssa’s
Event Date: Friday March 27th
Event Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm (6:00 – 6:15 pm arrival)
Beverages: Beer, Wine & Non-Alc. beverages available for purchase on-site including the special custom brewed ATC10k NoDa Beer. (There is not a BYOB option.)
This event is hosted by Around The Crown 10k and friends! Our Tapas Tasting is slightly different than our regular cooking class events and we expect between 35 and 70 guests. This is a self-guided, free flowing cooking class. You’ll rotate on your own (in no particular order) from station to station, including outside on our Big Green Eggs.
Tapas Tasting Menu:
(5 individual eat-as-you-go interactive cooking stations)
Kofta Kebabs
Local grass-fed beef fire grilled and served with a mixed grain salad along with tahini and yogurt sauces.
Pulled Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Fresh Asian flavors, bibb lettuce.
Grilled Kale Salad
Roasted lemon dressing, marinated beets, toasted almonds.
Crispy Sweet Potatoes
Fried in coconut oil and topped with parmesan cheese and herbs.
Oatmeal Cookie Sandwiches
Served with dairy-free coconut-banana ice cream.
For this menu, all items are gluten-free. We will have vegetarian options available for those who let us know in advance of the event (when signing up). We will try our best to accomodate any allergies or dietary restrictions; however, you must e-mail us (info@chefalyssaskitchen.com) to let us know those allergens as soon as you sign up. Menu items cannot be changed on the day of the event.

At Bowers Mill
The parking lot entrance is off Yancey Rd. Our building is located on the backside of the brewery (Brewers at Yancey), which is the opposite part of the building as their front door. There is additional street parking off Yancey and Southside Dr. There is a staircase entrance to Bowers parking from Southside Dr located behind Escape Tactic.
