Hearty Italian Dishes

Undoubtedly, Italian food has a way of taking over our cravings. That feeling of having to eat your favorite pasta dish comes on like a wave and we all know it’s just best to give in! At Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen, we are here to help you put down the keys before you drive over to the local Italian Eatery and teach you some delicious dishes you can make at home. So come take a tour of Italy with us, and learn how to cook a few of the classics!
You will begin with two traditional sauces: northern Italian Pesto Sauce as well as authentic Bolognese from the region of Emilia-Romagna. These sauces will be enjoyed over fresh pasta we will provide for you. Then, traveling a little further down south, you will make an aromatic Tuscan White Bean Bruschetta. Our main course is a Sicilian style Chicken Breast with olives, tomatoes and spinach. And we know Italians appreciate great coffee, so for dessert you will make a Chocolate-Espresso Panna Cotta, a chilled custard. These dishes are so bold yet versatile!

This class is perfect for those strong home cooks who are looking to expand their ability to balance flavor and texture as well as learn more about proper cooking times for many different ingredients going into one dish.

Please be sure to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early as of our class will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. Chef Alyssa will be making bruschetta with local garlic, basil and tomatoes for everyone to enjoy before class.

Like all of our classes, you will be at a 4 person tables working together with your group to produce everything Chef Alyssa has in store for you. Please let us as soon as you sign up about any allergies or medical conditions that may affect you during class.

After we finish cooking, we will sit down to enjoy our food and try some tasty drinks! Our classes are BYOB for beer and wine only. Please remember safety is a top concern.

The parking lot entrance is off Yancey Rd. Our building is located on the backside of the brewery (Brewers at Yancey), which is the opposite part of the building as their front door. There is additional street parking off Yancey and Southside Dr. There is a staircase entrance to Bowers parking from Southside Dr located behind Escape Tactic.

On our side, we’ve made non-refundable purchases and scheduled the appropriate staff, so we have to find a balance.
