Parent/Teen Pie Making

Ages 11 – 18. Registrations in even numbers only. Take a class together! Led by Joel and Brittany from Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen. Learn the methods to making deliciously flaky pie crust and forming a traditional pie and hand formed pies

Friday November 19th for a 6:00 pm start.

1 ticket is for 2 people. Each table (4 people total) is working together to make the full menu.

In this class you will learn two techniques for preparing both a traditional and a whole wheat pie crust and then you’ll turn them into two delicious desserts.

 

Menu:

  • Spiced Apple Hand Pies
  • Sweet Potato Meringue Pie

Note: This event may hold up to 24 guests (6 groups of 4). These dishes cannot be made Gluten-Free.

Additional Notes

-If you are joining as a ticket for 2 guests you will be sharing a table with 2 other guests. Please note, just as in all CAK events each guest will be sharing equipment, tools, prep and ultimately the food they’ve made during the class with their table-mates.

-1 ticket is for 2 people

-Face masks are mandatory as this is a parent/child/teen event

-Please do not register if you’re experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms.

-You may be within 6 feet at times with other guests and CAK staff members

*Cancelation Policy for Kids/Teen Classes*.
Non-Refundable if purchased after November 5th. If we receive a cancelation request by e-mail within 1 week of camp we will work to fill your spot off the waiting list for a future credit to be given. If we cannot fill the spot from the waiting list camper will receive 1 virtual class (kids or adult) per day missed. If camper should miss 1 or more days due to illness or COVID related symptoms they can receive 1 virtual class (kids or adult) per day missed.

The parking lot entrance is off Yancey Rd. Our building is located on the backside of the brewery (Brewers at Yancey), which is the opposite part of the building as their front door. There is additional street parking off Yancey and Southside Dr. There is a staircase entrance to Bowers parking from Southside Dr located behind Escape Tactic.

On our side, we’ve made non-refundable purchases and scheduled the appropriate staff, so we have to find a balance.
