Roaring Riot Tailgate Tapas Tasting at Chef Alyssa’s
Event Date: Friday July 12th
Event Time: 6:30 – 8:30 pm (6:00 – 6:15 pm arrival)
Beverages: Beer, Wine and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase on-site.
Our Tailgate Tapas Tasting is slightly different than our regular cooking class events. This is hosted with Roaring Riot and is an open event. We expect between 35 and 70 guests. This is a self-guided free flowing cooking class. You’ll rotate on your own (in no particular order) from station to station.
Tailgate Menu:
(4 individual eat-as-you-go interactive cooking stations)
Grilled Shrimp and Corn Tacos with Pickled Onions on the Big Green Egg
NC shrimp with fresh summer corn and spices.
Stuffed Oysters on the Half Shells Grilled on the Big Green Egg
Shuck your own oysters and create your own flavor combination with a delicious stuffing. Â
Pork Belly and Watermelon Skewers
Seared roasted pork belly and summer watermelon finished with a chili-honey glaze.
Fried Avocado with Spicy Crema
Crispy ripe avocado with a flavorful dip.
For this menu, the tacos and pork skewers are Gluten-Free. We will try our best to accomodate any allergies or dietary restrictions; however, you must e-mail us ([email protected]) to let us know those allergens as soon as you sign up. Menu items cannot be changed on the day of the event.

At Bowers Mill
The parking lot entrance is off Yancey Rd. Our building is located on the backside of the brewery (Brewers at Yancey), which is the opposite part of the building as their front door. There is additional street parking off Yancey and Southside Dr. There is a staircase entrance to Bowers parking from Southside Dr located behind Escape Tactic.
