Pie Making Workshop – October 30th

Learn the skills of making pie crust and fillings for the holiday season! Led by Chef Alyssa.

Wednesday, October 30th for a 6pm start

Learn the technique behind making delicious and flaky pie crust! Fillings made with all local ingredients. Dough will be made, shaped, filled and baked throughout class. Each guest will prepare their own 8” sweet potato pie. The galette and hand pies will be made as a group of 4.

Apple-Ginger Galette with Maple Whipped Cream

Chicken Sausage and Butternut Squash Hand Pies

Note: This class cannot be made Gluten or Dairy Free.

 

Additional Notes

–BYOB or packaged snacks are not permitted at Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen. We have a great menu of  alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks along with snacks.

-If you are joining as a single ticket you will be sharing a table with 3 other guests for a table of 4. Please note, just as in all CAK events each guest will be sharing equipment, tools, prep and ultimately the food they’ve made during the class with their table-mates. If you’re registering with 3 guests in your party, you may be asked to be at different tables (though near each other) 

-1 ticket is for 1 person

-Please do not register if you’re experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms

The parking lot entrance is off Yancey Rd. Our building is located on the backside of the brewery (Brewers at Yancey), which is the opposite part of the building as their front door. There is additional street parking off Yancey and Southside Dr. There is a staircase entrance to Bowers parking from Southside Dr located behind Escape Tactic.

On our side, we’ve made non-refundable purchases and scheduled the appropriate staff, so we have to find a balance.
